The Climate Classroom respects your privacy and handles personal information carefully and transparently.
1. Who we are
The Climate Classroom is an independent educational website and podcast project.
2. What the Ask Belle form collects
The form requires a climate question. You may also provide a first name or class name, an adult contact email for a reply, and permission for the question to be read on the podcast. Please do not include a child’s surname, age, school, address or other identifying information.
Short-lived technical information, such as an internet address, may be processed to protect the form from spam and misuse. We do not add form submissions to a website database.
3. How we use the information
We use it only to receive and consider the question, reply when an adult contact email is provided, and—only when permission is given—consider reading the question on the podcast. A question may be edited for clarity or to remove identifying information.
4. Lawful basis
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: operating the educational project, receiving questions and replying to people who contact us. Permission to read a question on the podcast is optional and can be withheld.
5. Delivery and storage
The form is sent to The Climate Classroom through Resend, our email delivery provider. Resend processes the message to deliver it securely to our inbox and states that its customer data is stored in the United States under contractual data-protection safeguards. The website does not keep a separate database copy. Our inbox copy is deleted when it is no longer reasonably needed to deal with the question or maintain necessary correspondence.
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers needed to host the website, protect the form and deliver email, or when required by law.
7. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or object to its use. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

9. Cookies and embedded content
The site does not use non-essential analytics cookies in this private migration. Podcast or social platforms opened from external links apply their own privacy practices.
